Dental Bridges
A dental bridge is an appliance that consists of a pontic that is connected to any remaining teeth using either wires, crowns, or implants. The bridge looks and acts like real teeth, so you will be able to chew, eat, speak, and smile like you did when you had a full mouth of permanent teeth.
How Long Does a Bridge Take to Make?
The length of time it takes to make a dental bridge depends on your current oral health and hygiene. Before the bridge can be installed, our dentist and hygienists will perform an initial visual and tactile exam of any remaining teeth and the gums. We will want to treat any underlying conditions like gum disease that could make the bridge uncomfortable to wear.
If you are currently healthy and don’t have any oral conditions, then the custom dental bridge can be ready on the same day or in two weeks. For 3-unit bridges, we typically do it in-house on the same day with our cutting-edge CEREC technology. For bridges that are four or more units, we will send it to a lab to be made. Our clinic works closely with a skilled dental lab that will take a mold of your mouth and create a custom bridge in just two weeks.

During the consultation and fitting for the bridge, our empathetic staff will ask you to provide feedback about the fit. If the bridge starts to feel uncomfortable after you have left our office, please call us and set up an appointment as soon as possible. We will gladly refit or remake the bridge until you have one that suits your smile and sits well in your mouth.

What is in our control, we will guarantee. The quality of our workmanship and materials, is our responsibility, and we will fix or repair any work that fails, here in our office. We will always do the right thing, standing behind the work done at our office. This guarantee covers any problems that later become evident, like a crown coming off, a filling that falls out, or a denture or crown that needs to be adjusted. If a treatment, like a root canal, needs to be repeated, there will be no additional charge to fix work under guarantee.
